Honestly, and bluntly? Systemic racism is why it took so long. The Negro League ended about 40 years ago, yet there's still hardly any recognition. There was hardly any recognition when it was around. This is so long overdue for sure.

I'm so happy that the Negro League is getting some long-overdue recognition. :)
