Bud Harrelson, Miracle Mets World Series shortstop, dead at 79

That Mets team was something else in 1969. Fell behind the Cubs by 10 games, only to end up winning the National League East by 8 games and going on to win the pennant. Amazing feat, and Harrelson was a big part of that Series, and the 1973 pennant run.

I use to hear my grandfather speak of him.
