CEDAvsFan
Browns clinch spot in postseason with win over Jets The Cleveland Browns defeated the New York Jets, 37-20, in the final Thursday Night Football game of the 2023 season. With the win, the Browns clinched a spot in this year's playoffs, only the team's third playoff appearance since returning to play in 1999. The Browns last reached the playoffs in 2020, which saw them upset the Pittsburgh Steelers during Wild Card Weekend, and narrowly oust the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Playoff. Their only other playoff appearance in the last 25 seasons came in 2002. The Browns made history, becoming the first team to start four different quarterbacks and still reach the postseason. With the win, the Browns still hope to win the AFC North--their first division title since 1989, which is the longest current division title drought in the NFL. For that to happen, Cleveland needs the Ravens to lose to the Dolphins on Sunday and to the Steelers next week, while the Browns themselves need to defeat the Bengals next week.
