I've watched a lot of Donald Sutherland's projects, including the Hunger Games films. I read this news on Twitter, it was Donald's son, actor Kiefer Sutherland, who tweeted the sad news. The first thing that entered my mind was Donald's appearance in the original Buffy film as Merrick; amazing that he and his two sons contributed to the vampire genre--Kiefer in Lost Boys and Angus Sutherland in Lost Boys: The Tribe. Donald Sutherland is an iconic talent, and he will surely be missed without question.
June 20, 20241 yr I remember him as a psycho Pyro in Backdraft and as Merrick in the Buffy movie. I will miss him.
