First off, in the AFC, the Jacksonville Jaguars were defeated, 28-20, by the Tennessee Titans. As a result, the Houston Texans (who defeated the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday) won the AFC South, the Pittsburgh Steelers (who defeated the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday) clinched a playoff spot, and the Buffalo Bills clinched a playoff spot before their game against the Miami Dolphins. Had the Jags won, they would have won the AFC South, but instead, the loss eliminated them from playoff contention. The Bills would go on to defeat the Dolphins, 21-14, in the final game of the regular season. As a result, the Bills won the AFC East, while the Dolphins were reduced to a Wild Card. In the NFC, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Carolina Panthers, 9-0, to clinch the NFC South and eliminate the Atlanta Falcons from playoff contention. The New Orleans Saints defeated the aforementioned Falcons, 48-17, to keep their playoff hopes alive, and the Saints and Bucs victories eliminated the Minnesota Vikings (who lost 30-20 to the Detroit Lions) from playoff contention. Later on, the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Washington Commanders, 38-10, to clinch the NFC East. Finally, the Green Bay Packers won, 17-9, over the Chicago Bears, to clinch the last remaining playoff spot in the NFC! The win also eliminated the aforementioned Saints and the Seattle Seahawks (the latter having won over the Arizona Cardinals) from playoff contention. So with that, here are the playoff matchups: AFC: Steelers @ Bills, Dolphins @ Chiefs, Browns @ Texans NFC: Packers @ Cowboys, Rams @ Lions, Eagles @ Buccaneers The Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers have the #1 seeds in their respective conferences, and have a bye straight to the Divisional Playoff. 2 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
