Elektra Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Mom charges family for Christmas dinner and more: 'It's so expensive' Quote Abi Richards, 35, of Hampshire, England, said she spent nearly $300 on food and drinks this Christmas since she's cooking for 10 family members across three days. (See the video at the top of this article.) She's charging them each just shy of $32 to cover the costs of breakfast, lunch and dinner during those days – Christmas Eve, Christmas and Boxing Day, the latter of which is celebrated in the United Kingdom. Charging people for Christmas dinner is very tacky! 4
Red Kevin Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Instead of paying this scrooge for Christmas, how about her family gives her the number of a good psychiatrist. 1 1
CEDAvsFan Posted January 3 Posted January 3 What kind of mother actually charges her own family for Christmas dinner? That's tacky and f**ked up! 1
Norrie Calvert Posted January 3 Posted January 3 A former friend (Sheri) did this. Key word here is "former". She invited me and my husband for Christmas dinner. We offered to bring something by either making it or buying it. She asked if I could do the cooking. I agreed. About a week afterwords we received a bill from this now former friend for $100. I asked her why I received a bill from her for $100. She complained about the costs and the hard work put into everything. I reminded her that she had me do the cooking, the serving, and the cleaning! I also told her she neglected to tell me she had COVID19 and both me and my husband ended up with it because of her. I mentioned the missed worked and how much he missed out on earning. I mentioned the doctor bill. Sheri still had the nerve to complain and demand $100. My last words to her was that I would be sending her a bill for my work in cooking, serving, cleaning and the doctor bill for the COVID19 she gave us. I hung up and never said another word. Although I gets texts now and then demanding $100. 1
