Kinda interesting that this comes after the heavy criticism of his commentary during the Yankees/Royals series on TBS. Costas was quite erratic with his calls; I think he knew his time was up when it came to doing play-by-play. He had been at it for years. MLB and NBA, and he had been on NBC for a long time.
