All very good tips.I have encountered many romance scammers. I have a tip to add.

6. Never send pics of yourself that aren't publicly available. they want pics from you that aren't public so they can make a fake profile of you last longer.

There's a ton of scamming going on, and it frustrates me to no end.

Another way to protect yourself is avoid sending photos of yourself to those you hardly know; unless they are already in public view.
